She's using a story from the bible you have faith in to make her point. She could use other people who believe they have heard from God without need of reading a book to make her point, but you guys wouldn't give that any credence.

You don't have to believe it, and I know you don't, but the poster simply restated what is said in the Bible.
As to the original post, no there is no proof that the Bible is divinely inspired, but that doesn't mean it's not true. Many things that are true cannot be proven.
If this is true, we can reword John 1:1 without changing the meaning: "In the beginning was the Bible and the Bible was with God and the Bible was God...."

I don't have a problem with hearing about other people's faith. But, we wouldn't know a lot of things without Holy Scripture.
Is it possible that the Bible is only partially inspired and, if so, how does one determine which parts?
If you need "rational or scientific" proof, you will never believe. Faith is a matter of the heart, rational and science is a matter of the head. God is concerned with our heart.
