While many conservative Christians are condemning gay and lesbian people in loving committed relationships as 'immoral', how many are secretly viewing porn on the internet? Apparently a lot - according to a new study published this month:
Any studies of how many conservative Christians devote themselves to describing gay sex (in detail) on the internet?
Going by what's posted on this forum one would think it's a requirement to gain entrance to Heaven: "Step right up, Hank. This is where we go over your life. So tell me...... when you were on earth how did you serve me?" "Well, God, I described what body part is put into which orifice during gay sex. And I did it a LOT!"
It amazes me more, considering the amount of mental and sometimes physical abuse that homosexuals are subject to, that anyone with a brain would think it remotely possible for someone to even want such a lifestyle. My guess is that it takes a long, long time for most to accept who they are--then to be faced with ding-bats telling them they should have made a better choice---oh dear God!
I don't post studies and articles to try to change the minds of gay-bashing fundamentalists. I doubt anything will change their minds (except perhaps having a gay or lesbian child who commits suicide after they rejected them and kicked them out of home?).
It always seems to come down to a "love-based awakening" . . . unfortunately couched in tragedy . . . to awaken people to the true import of Christ's Gospel of agape love. How anyone could think that their un-loving attitudes and treatment could EVER be desired and approved of by our God . . . who IS agape love . . . is beyond me.

It's more to spread evidence-based information and expose the disinformation and ignorance behind much of the bigotry and prejudice.
If fundamentalist views were evidence-based this might help . . . but of course they are not.
I agree with the whole "it's a sin" thing but we all do need to focus on our own sins.
Agreed, but I will go one step further. In the local church, all public sin must be dealt with, according to the procedures outlined in Scripture.
