Could righteous acts for the wrong reason end up with one being destroyed forever ?___________ Psalm 92:7
If I see a person on the street who needs something, like food, clothes or whatever...
I have a decision to make--either to help that person of not.
If I decide to help, there are two reasons why I would help--
1. Out of fear I will be banished to the man made hell where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth forever, so I decide I best do something to avoid that possibility.
2. Out of LOVE because i know that is what Jesus would ask me to do, and I have ZERO thoughts of eternal punishment or REWARD, I do it for love.
Is there a difference between acting out of FEAR compared to acting on LOVE?

There is no fear in the perfect love, but it do not mean that we can forget this vital wisdom of, fear of the Lord, and God is the beginning of wisdom, and for good understanding for those who keeps it.
But this all do not mean that we have to do our good works by fear, and not for our heart desire to do what is right in the eye's of God, understanding that it is the right way to do things.
5. Yahweh is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness. 6. And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Yahweh is thy treasure. (Isaiah 33:5-6)

Fear of God WAS the beginning of wisdom because it taught our primitive ancestors self-control of our inner urges. It is NOT the END or goal. Agape love as taught and demonstrated unambiguously by Christ IS the END or goal of that wisdom in self-control.
