In three verses Jesus says those who do not do the works of the son of man are condemned already for their lack of belief and says what the works are He is speaking of.
John 3:18 NRS
Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.

If the words of God are the works as Jesus states then doing the works He did is spreading the word and believing in Him in that way.That is why He sent His followers as He was sent with the same words and glory.

To destruction Jesus taught. He said--- Enter through the narrow gate, for cramped is the road that leads off into life, FEW will find it. For many have entered the broad and spacious path that leads to DESTRUCTION( not eternal suffering)
Jeez Louise!!...there is NO condemnation in Christ...why does the evangelical fundies continue to focus on the punitive? Do they have some demented fixation with suffering and wailing??
All they ever do is argue over how many are supposed to perish. Let's start focusing on the JOY and MERCY of Christ, can we do that guys and gals?

There is no condemnation in Christ, meaning you are loving and obeying him. When people don't they are condemned because they are not ... in christ.

Yep, with only a hope of a resurrection. Their heart condition determines that.
The believers who believe in Jesus are not condemned , so if we do the works of Christ or not to a greater extent are not condemned .............. The only time Jesus condemns His children if they hold iniquity and become faithless to Jesus ,............. or if they are completely selfish which Works can be part of , ............... Then there is the blaspheme of Holy Spirit which believer would have to reject Jesus Christ and have no fruits of the spirit , or give rise to a unrepentant authority to the spirit of antichrist , as Holy Spirit is the spirit of Christ ................... Other wise people who have repented and have prayer of Christians and never go to church will be saved to Jesus can be the bottom line

As long as one understands that "condemned" does not mean "eternal hell fire and damnation."
