There are no descriptions of the exact looks of the guy in the Bible, but suffice to say he would have been of Middle Eastern appearance.

There was a time I was having a problem forgiving some persons who had done things that do not deserve forgiveness in anyone's eyes (yes, that bad) that was stopping me from finishing the Lord's Prayer because the word "forgiveness" would get stuck in my throat.

This was when while praying in a packed church right after 911 I saw Jesus on the Cross and there was nothing "European" in His appearance

This is an account of it I wrote a while back

*********

While I was praying, a shiny area appeared in front of my eyes, with a mound of earth, blue sky, clouds, and a cross with Jesus Christ. This surprised me, so I opened my eyes, and while I could then see the pastor and the congregation gathered there, the cross of Jesus Christ still remained completely visible a few inches in front of my face. Whether I would shut my eyes or open them again did not matter, as Jesus and His cross were always right there about ten inches in front of me. I suppose you can imagine how completely shocked I was, but since my view of Jesus wasn’t going anywhere, I decided to study Him in detail for as long as He remained there.

The first thing that stood out to me was the color of His skin; because it was nothing like the pictures I had seen of Him. His skin was quite dark in color, sort of an olive-brown, about the same color as the wood He was nailed to. The other thing was I could only see His cross and not the ones to either side of Him. This vision continued for several minutes and then gradually faded away. Shortly after that, the pastor finished praying and when everybody started to lift their heads, I told the couple whom I was with what had just happened. She smiled but he had a rather skeptical look, as if it was something that had definitely never happened to him. When we went out for dinner afterwards I tried to take part in the conversation, but my mind was fixed upon what had just taken place.

By the time I went to bed that evening, I realized what had happened to me was a vision, and although I was both grateful and happy, I really did not grasp the significance of it until I woke up in the middle of the night. During that time period I had been reading the Gospel of John, and what I then understood was God was showing me as a person, I never would be able to forgive those who were doing what they had done to me. It is not the nature of a human to forgive. People make compromises and say things like, “for this reason I forgive you,” or we are sometimes willing to overlook events just to obtain some sort of goal. The fact is people do not forgive as Jesus forgave us, and I was probably the least forgiving person of all. So what God showed me was even though I myself (the “old Doug”) never would forgive, the Spirit of Jesus Christ had been given to me so through it I could become a “new Doug,” living by the Spirit of Jesus Who had already done all the forgiving that needed to be done.

Same to you. Nice website, thank you for sharing.

Yes, I do see how a black child thinking Jesus must be white could adversely
affect him or her. That is sad.

I am white but I can remember being told early on that NONE of the pictures
of Jesus, including the beautiful Good Shepherd stained-glass window in my
childhood church, are accurate because no one knows what Jesus actually looked
like when he walked the earth. (Sometimes as I get older I reflect on how
fortunate I was to have a devout yet logical and intelligent father.)

Thank you Mightyqueen801 and thanks for sharing. God bless.

LOL. here is something enough to make you slap yourself again

While I was doing the shuffle within the federal belly of the beast circumstances caused me to meet a man who was a contradiction of many sorts. He was a black Hebrew with freckles by birth and a gay bank robber by profession until God jerked his chain causing this contradiction of sorts to bow before Him in shame and in repentance for his sins

God was both merciful and kind to this man who would spend most (if not all) of the rest of his life behind bars in the federal penal system and gave him more revelations then most get

He was also an accomplished artist and wanted to show me what God had shown him in a notebook that was a picture history of his walk with Christ drawn out in exact detail.

When he turned one more page after explaining each prior one I could not have been more shocked than I was with his drawing on this new page that was an exact duplicate of what I saw in the vision God gave me of His Son on the Cross that was way different from any man made drawing of Jesus other than the one I was staring at.

Then he turned the page again, and this time there was an x-ray view of the inside of the mound of earth underneath Jesus on the Cross where concealed from normal vision was the Ark of the Covenant waiting to receive the Blood of Jesus as it dripped down from the Cross and the earthquake that opened the cracks for the Blood of Jesus to drip through and unto the Ark of the Covenant

Turns out there is a body within the Body of Christ who preach that the same mound where Jesus was crucified upon was where the OT priests had hidden the ark of the Covenant within during the Babylonian invasion when the Ark of the Covenant dropped out of sight from the rest of the Bible

These are the verses they use to support their beliefs having never seen either this man's drawings of the inside view of the mound nor had heard of my account of the mound of earth (rather than the typical hill pictured in paintings and drawings of the crucifixion) that one of had the Cross of Christ placed at the top.

Heb.9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. (

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

It was for your benefit I told you to read my blog#3 because when you die you are going to witness the same things I did when I was declared dead after flat lining following a car accident. However, will anyone be praying for you to be raised from the dead as they were me?

For your sake alone I hope so because without it you are going to become as they say "properly skewered"

I look towards that of the Spirit, not the color of the skin.
What truly matters comes from the core or heart.

Not the outside of the cup.

Forgiveness is an acknowledgement of a wrongful act, which recognizes the truth of the matter.
