Being born of God has nothing to do with being nice to people. It is about loving God by serving Him in spirit and in truth.
Actually, "being born of God" has nothing at all to do with with the object of that phrase which is the individual being born. When you were born of your mother, what part did you play in that birth other than actually being delivered. Notice the verb being used. "Being" is a established fact. fait ac·com·pli

"the results were presented to shareholders as a fait accompli". This is the type of Being the verse is talking about. Being Born of God is synonymous with being regenerated or born again. This is a sovereign choice made by God whereby He extends mercy upon those He chooses to.

Amen! Peacegiver thinks it is all about the talk. He actually believes God is completely focused on having us memorize and parrot the words in the Bible. All of humanity was created solely to parrot the right words. It is an amazingly absurd belief system but then what else would you expect from someone who thinks he was sent directly from God as the Son of man like Jesus.

Tell Jesus that. He was a Parrot in your mind.

The righteous do what is wise and the just walk in the light.
Notice, if the ears are turned on, Jesus said HEARS my words and USES it.. He did not say HEARS my words and REGURGITATES them..
So He sends His followers as He was sent with the same words and glory but you say that His followers words are puke even though the follower uses the words as instructed.
"If they have kept my words they will keep yours."
Why? Because the words are the same.
