I don't call anyone a 'fundie'. People refer to me as a "fundie" or "cultist". An example of "profession of love with action of hate" is when someone talks about 'agape love' while calling someone "hateful, bigoted cultist" or "bible worshipper" for no reason.

And that is the difference, Finn. You refuse to credit the reasons because it would knock you out of your comfort zone to do so.

I know you always find a way to justify the name calling, but I am not like you.

And ironically the people that proclaim 'agape love', (or refer to Dan & John Ford Coley songs on love), are usually the ones most hostile and impatient towards Bible believing Christians.

So why does the agape love fly out of the door all of a sudden when confronted with other views? Even if other views claim exclusivity, and you don't agree, shouldn't agape love, love them nonetheless?
Why is there a need to keep denegrating faithful Christians as "fundies", bigoted, hateful, small-minded, etc. If agape love is indeed agape (universal and unconditional), then shouldn't that include "fundies"?

Maybe I am wrong, and I am new on the forum, but do others recognise this hostile attitude?

Did you actually ever look up the word agape?

Pretty much if you are telling anyone under 40 about your agape love they are pretty much shocked.

Let me give you something to think about, Finn: when someone says that the ideas you express are ignorant and barbaric, you have a choice, to look at and reevaluate the ideas or to take the terms onto yourself by simply remaining in those ideas.

Sure, same to you.

The obvious problem with your idea is that people can say ugly things all day long and be wrong every time.

The most obvious reason for someone telling you such things is because they enjoy talking down to people, and the best course of action is to is to say "same to you". Such comments say more about you than the person you are talking to. It shows your arrogance and the fact that you really don't mind being an unpleasant person.

When someone says ugly things they are not trying to get you to think, they are finding pleasure in insulting you in the name of ... love.

You see "ignorant, barbaric, cultist, etc" you are dealing with someone speaking about themselves and they can't face up to it.

So is this true when someone says that homosexuality is an abomination?
