I listened to Trey Pearson, singer for Christian band Everyday Sunday, when I was a young person growing up in the church. So when I read Pearson’s coming out last week – I was able to see an artist I admired in a new light.
ROCK ON TREY!!!
Faith In America secured interviews with New YorkTimes, NBC, CNN, The View, and a many other publications still coming this week. We’ve helped him not only get press but also make the most impact with his message: He wants the church to change.
Having said that, I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of Christian singers. Big names like Michael W. Smith, The Gaithers, dc talk, Newsboys, and others. Many are exactly as they appear based on their stage performances. Many are not as spiritual as they would seem to be. They're all just normal people--and they face the same struggles with sin that any of us do.
If this man is opening up regarding his homosexual sin, ok. I'm sorry to hear of it. Sadly, he will probably lead many souls astray through it.

WRONG interpretation, just as you wrongly interpret the bible and wrongly interpret the MESSAGE of Christ..
Props to the man for coming out. It takes a great deal of courage to do so in a country that still has a sizable number of drooling Christian fundanatics.
No. Discussing LGBTQ and faith is very important. The problem comes when we do not address things, and hide from them.
LGBTQ is not going back to the closet so others can be comfortable. Like this young musician, LGBTQ Christians are out, and have God's grace.
And yet whenever you have opposition who also wants to discuss this topic then you or your friends here resort to falsely accusing them of being a closet gay. Your side acts like homosexuality is a badge of honor. No, it's a badge of sin.
