Lust is a terrible sin in God's eyes. So much that the Bible advise lust driven people to willingly blind themselves by taking their eyes out. (may not mean literally)

G-d's definition of lust is desiring anything apart from His perfect will for the individual, which can be anything. So it's not exclusively sexual in nature. As for why it's bad, that should be obvious for anyone who is following Him. Being outside His perfect will is NOT where you want to be. Peace

Lust has as its focus pleasing oneself, and it often leads to unwholesome actions to fulfill one's desires with no regard to the consequences. Lust is about possession and greed. The Christian faith is about selflessness and is marked by holy living (Romans 6:19, 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 1:2, 30, 6:19-20; Ephesians 1:4, 4:24; Colossians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8, 5:23; 2 Timothy 1:9; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16). The goal of each person who has put his/her faith in Jesus Christ is to become more and more like Him each day. This means putting off the old way of life of which sin was in control, and conforming one's thoughts and actions to the standard put forth in Scripture. Lust is in opposition to this ideal.

What is lust? What does the Bible have to say about lust?

Meh,who cares. Lust is good. What does it matter what willing adult partners do? Lust is good inside of marriage and outside of marriage. No adultery of course, as that would contradict one of the two commandments.

These two commandments, the only ones needed.

Lust is only a horrible sin to those who aren't getting much - or any.

That is why divorce is so common and children are hurt by the results. But who cares if it feels good do it and you kids will just have to live with it.

An honest question as I am not sure exactly what you mean. Desiring a wife or children, a good job or a nice care are against the will of God? Would desiring to get a new dog after yours has died bad or is even having a dog bad or sinful? And how do you decide what is God's perfect will for you? Not being religious perhaps explains why I do not understand what exactly you mean by what I bolded of your text.

Children can also be hurt by bad or unloving marriages. 40 years and counting for our marriage but I have seen others who were much better off ending their relationships and the children were as well. Not always the case as well of course.

But bad marriages are the result of following a persons own desires. Many times the marriage occurred because someone followed their lust.

Our brain is located wayyyy up on our body for a reason. The best area of our body to be guided by.
