The thing is sir, what if the Bible is true?

What if the moon was made of cheese?

What if Gandalf is more powerful than Merlin?

What if up is down?

What if JWs were capable of common sense?

Of course the bible has some truth in it, even if by accident. But to any educated, rational adult there's a lot of myth, tripe, horror and barbarism.

It's unfortunate you choose to be blind to those aspects.

Not at all. Christians understand that the Bible is a book that includes parables, illustrations, figures of speech. Some verses are meant to be taken literally others aren't. It's a book written with anthropomorphisms and so when we approach the Bible we do so rationally. Consider that the Bible teaches us that Jesus is divine in origin.

And because Jesus is of divine origin we can rest assured that the Kingdom of God will do what mankind hasn't been able to accomplish and that is a promise found in the Bible.

As rational, educated, adults we should seek ways to slow or stop climate change but instead it's accelerating.
We should see an equal distribution of food stuffs instead of half starved children dying from the effects of hunger while restaurants in wealthy parts of the world literally throw tons of good food in the garbage, daily.
We should see an end to sectarianism, racism, bigotry instead of seeing people more restless and conflicted then ever.
We should see a decrease in diseases yet we have a planet of have and have nots with the majority having little or no access to basic healthcare
Why is it irrational or lacking common sense to believe that Jesus, as appointed divine head of Jehovah's Kingdom (the Kingdom of God), will solve these problems where "rational, educated, adults" have failed to do so. That's in the Bible. But if that truth doesn't appeal to you then by all means continue to believe that the world of rationale educated adults will because we see how successful that's turning out to be.

If the bible is true, then why do so many Christians conflate patriotism with religion? Why do they confuse the kingdom of heaven with that of men? Do they think they will receive the blessing for that? And, again, why do so many people also confuse the needs of reproduction, the needs of evolution, with those of God? You are the endpoint of God's relationship with you, not your children. And certainly not your need to further your genetic legacy throughout time. That is not eternal life.

Don't they understand that, among other things, it is the modern day equivalent of Israel worshiping gods made of stone? You can like a lot of things about your country. You can be proud of what some very clever people have said. But don't confuse what they've made with the kingdom. Keep them separate, so that you can apply your faith in the right place when the time comes. God is reasonable. He will respect your philosophical understanding of sound principles. Just as well, He will force you to rethink when you are wrong.

He knows those philosophies too. He knows them better than you do. He will not let you get away with slouching on the inside because you need money or some job. You can't include your nation, and its separate demands, based upon faith. That is for the kingdom. You can't have it both ways, or you will love the one and hate the other. That way your worries related to the things of man will not crowd out the voice of God as He tries to speak to you.

Otherwise, if you must include what God has not blessed, you will find that you have to contort yourself in so many compromising ways. Your foot will be upon your brother's throat. And your knife pressed against your sister's belly. You will not find that bit of kindness you thought you had in reserve. But an argument within yourself over what the word 'love' really means. You'll be the one walking about speaking of love as if there is a 'tough' form of it that is somehow the best kind.

But that has nothing to do with witnessing, I asked what exactly are you a witness to?...

Ive noticed MANY people equate patriotism with obedience/compliance...I have never understood that, but I guess in their minds, they they see a connection.

Ok...a serpent represents our reptilian minds....God or angel beamed the part of the brain that 'thought' it saw a donkey talking....woman coming from rib is easy..that was for cloning/creating..men even have one more rib than women and the guy in the fish was probably in a coma and an air pocket , it is possible I think if God was involved. He really has done miracles before.
This is some sanity in there if you know how to look for it.

Actually, they do not have one more, nor one less, although there are situations where a small percentage of people may have an extra (0.5 to 1% of the population). Cervical ribs are supernumerary or accessory ribs that arise from the seventh cervical vertebra. In case you are wondering.
