Does marital sex in some way reflect Christ crucified and risen for the forgiveness for the sins of everybody?
This may be an appropriate topic for a study group, or for counseling. I don't think it's appropriate from the pulpit, because while it may be good marital advice, it isn't Christ-centered and makes for poor material for those who are unmarried.
I agree, and it is one topic in this forum that will soon be very far ot.
Does this not take the spontaneity out of sex to be "told" to have sex ? To me as non Christian, sex is a wonderful pleasurable act but one which should flow naturally from intimacy and natural desire. I would resent being asked to perform by anyone preacher or not.... Making love is not the only way to enjoy a profound physical and mental connection with someone and sometimes it just does not feel like the right time.
My 2 cents anyway .
Sex is between 2 human beings and is nobody else's business , any intrusion into one's sex life is to me rather on the tasteless side.

Well, the pastor had a bed on the stage yesterday, and announced an expansion of the church's nursery was planned in the next nine months.
Ouch, that was bad.
