CAIRO, EGYPT (ANS) -- One thousand Christians were today trapped inside the Coptic Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary in West Ain Shams, Cairo, after more than twenty thousand Muslims attacked them with stones and butane gas cylinders. The Church's priest, Father Antonious, said the situation is "extremely dangerous."

Sad day indeed. There is a Muslim guy from Egypt that posts here, his name is elwill, he's always defending Islam (naturally), I made a thread with videos asking him where is the outrage from the moderate Muslims, if they even exist. Go to the Religion and Philosophy section to view his responses, that is if he responds.

Why are you complaining now?

Christians have always done this to other religions. But now when it is being done to you, suddenly it is so horrible?

Hello, the attacks in India by extreme Islamists were directed (as they always are) at Americans - including YOU. They hate tolerance (especially religious freedom), unlike we Americans. Again, true Christianity is not violent, except for the persecution of its own adherents. The United States of America was founded with religious freedom upheld as a sacred law, because the earliest settlers knew what it meant to live under the oppression of a government controlled by religion. You will rarely, if ever, find this tolerance in an Muslim nation today. All opposing viewpoints (including atheism) are considered worthy of jihad.

Christians also hate "tolerance". Like I said in the other thread, had there been no laws or "freedom of religion", Christians would be doing the same thing.

Comparing USA/England/Canada to Muslim countries if like comparing apples and oranges. You cannot do it.

Not saying it is right, just that Christians have no room to speak.

In case you didn't learn this in your history classes, the USA was founded by mostly religious people - Christians no less. Who wrote those laws protecting the citizen's freedom to choose which religion to believe or not to believe?

Speaking of apples and oranges...How can you possibly see extreme Christians and Muslims in the same light....How many have Christians killed today, compared to Muslims?

Like "Christian Arab" told me "Oh now you are going to bring up how America was founded" in a sarcastic tone....I am going to ask you the same thing.

Do you not understand? I don't care if the most of the people who founded this country were Christians. This country was NOT founded on Christian morals or beliefs.
