I was wondering how Lot and his daughters knew their wife and mother turned into a pillar of salt when they couldn't turn around without the same thing happening to them. Is there a biblical answer? I couldn't find it if there is.

Unfortunately, we are not told. Genesis 19:26, "But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt."

No information on how Lot knew what had happened--although in verse 17 he is told very specifically not to look behind him. (He may simply have had to assume the worst.)

In the movie , Lot was walking behind his family - I suppose to make sure no one was left behind.
He was looking forward, when his wife turned around to look past him toward the city.

In that area, there is supposed to be a pillar which the locals (not Jews), call "Lot's wife".
I dunno if she would not have eroded away or if the camels would not have licked her into oblivion.

LOL I know I shouldn't be laughing at that. Sorry. Yeah, I thought of specific scenarios, such as, he was walking behind everyone, or he turned around and didn't look at Sodom but only at his wife, things like that. I was just wondering if there was something in the Bible that lets us know. I looked up one passage on it but it didn't say.

Thanks, Richio and Fred314X.
