Very well said, Dotl..I have learned that the presentation may be good, but the presenter sometimes writes his own script instead of using what the author has given us, and we cause much confusion....Many times I have found myself in that very situation..Sometimes it is so hard to separate the flesh from the spirit I constantly have to remind myself to make sure the seeds I plant are good seeds, planted with love and patience..

I think we can all agree on that one!!

Amen...I guess a garden would be a good analogy for this. We can till the soil and plant the seeds with care, separating them the right distance and putting them into the soil at the right depth and then working everyday to water, fertilize and remove the weeds. We end up with a healthy and bountiful crop.

Or, we can scatter the seeds in unprepared soil doing it our way even though we know this may or may not produce good fruit. If we are fortunate enough to have something pop up out of the ground and then don't tend to it and pull out the weeds, then what we so haphazardly planted will soon wither up and die.

Yes!! Yes!! Yes!! It's just that simple! Come as you are! It's for the sinners that He came! Come one and all! Come...............while there's time! It does'nt matter what you've done, what you look like, how much money you have, how much 'smarts' you've got, or where you've been......It's for all!! All!! This gift of salvation!

Come:
YouTube - Hold Me Now - Kirk Franklin

He did it for me, He can do it for you! He's not like man, He understands......all of it. All of it.

Love, Denise (A.K.A., Betsey)

Yes, all caveats aside, it is JUST THAT SIMPLE!

And Jesus even mentioned that unless you come to Him as a Little Child...........
Quote:
Matthew 18:3 (New International Version)
And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven
Quote:
Mark 10:15 (New International Version) I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
Quote:
Luke 10:21 (New International Version)
At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
Quote:
Luke 18:17 (New International Version) I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
If you have to have the understanding and sophistication of a little child, how complex and difficult can it be? Seems pretty clear to me.............

when Jesus said he desires mercy not sacrifce, I think it reflects on a condition of the heart. one is driven by love and compassion. with mercy , one gives.

with sacrifice one gives too but they give out abundance. and it doesn't cost them anything.

when one gives mercy, they give up themselves, their lusts, their selfishness and they become selfless.

That verse gives me peace and I love the fact jesus also says it will cover a multitude of sins, for I have a multitude to cover.

Oh, what a precious savior we have in jesus!!

Every morning that you wake up, you experience God's mercy; for you did'nt have to, wake up, that is!

22. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not.
23. They are new every morning: Great is Thy faithfulness.

(Lamentations 3:22-23)
