What does that word mean ? Repent ?? Many explaiin what it accomplishes but they never address what the word itself actually means.

Repent - Greek - Matanoia - "change your mind'

that's all ! Notice in Luke chapter 15 the prodical son..

Once he changed his mind, then his actions changed !!

ALL SIN - begins.. .. in the 'mind' !!

Do you know how hard it is for one to change their mind FOR REAL? The prodigal son did not have some big mind changing revelation...he was dirty and hungry. His mind was "changed" out of convienience. I sat in church for about 14 years pretending! My mind was never changed. I tried and tried to change it.

You're right, the prodigal son did not have a mind changing experience, he had a heart changing experience. This is something we cannot do, only the Holy Spirit can do this.
