Proverbs 8:12 Hatred stirs up dissension, but lovecoversover all wrongs.
Such a simple statement, yet I find it very profound, when you consider what (and who) love is.
Yes love covers a multitude of transgression. A Christian putting someone else's spiritual good before their own desires in spite of being treated unkindly or ungraciously. God is good, God is love

It's even simpler than that... 1 John 4: 7-12
We have become so used to God being Love that we forget how great that is and instead focus on Jesus, the bible, our church service..
When a stranger shows you Love... Don't you see God in them?
Yes great stuff. There are so many little scriptures like this. Especially Psalms and Proverbs - I keep finding nuggets of gold - they really make you think.
Now lets take a test. Do we really believe this verse?
Love covers over ALL wrongs.
This means the wrongs of a rapist who harms a little child has been covered.
This means the wrongs of Hitler have been covered.
This means the wrongs of Pharaoh have been covered.
This means the wrongs of Judas have been covered.
These have all been covered by God's love. It may be hard to swallow. What do you think on this?

No, I guess I am a liar . . . I don't believe that it covers ALL wrongs . . . unless the one who did the rape, murders, etc. . . realizes they were wrong and looks to God for forgiveness.
Love bears all things, is long suffering . . . but what did Jesus say about those who hurt little children? What about the law of God written on our hearts . . Thou shall not kill . . . . but God's love . . when he draws one close to Him . . . . that love covers all things . . .but if you are walking with God, you would not rape or murder . . . and if you did have a moment of an insanity, out of control anger and killed someone, when you became sane you would get on your knees . .
No remorse for the rape . . . . that is not covered, in my opinion, blessings,

But what about the love? Love never fails. You said it yourself, love bears all things. Its patient, longsuffering, protecting, hoping.
We are to love our enemies.
Do you not think love could even overcome what a rapist has done? Can love heal the wounds? Can love convert the rapist, so that He will never rape again?
This is what I ponder. I think love can do it. I think God can do it.
