I realize they donnot have love but they do have lust and beleive it is love.
Yes that is my point. They think they know love, but do not. Why would you cheat on your wife if you truly love her? Why would you murder if you have love? That is not love. That is following your own carnal urges.

Feeling entitled to something is selfishness. But we just read above that love is not self-serving.

Not many people truly understand love yet (myself included). But we have hope that God is teaching us.

True . None of us are fully abiding in His love yet , we have this great habit of moving back into the flesh , which can never produce the love of God.

We will only love with the love that we believe the father as for us. Behold what manner of love the Father as bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God .If you believe God loves conditionally that is how you will love .If you believe He loves unconditionally you will end up loving that way yourself.

Lord help us to see ourselves through your own eyes.

I understand that we all have things we struggle with but the difference between those who realize they constantly need God and those who are selffish is the fruit they bear.

1. I need thee every hour, most gracious Lord; no tender voice like thine can peace afford. : I need thee, O I need thee; every hour I need thee; O bless me now, my Savior, I come to thee.2. I need thee every hour; stay thou nearby; temptations lose their power when thou art nigh. 3. I need thee every hour, in joy or pain; come quickly and abide, or life is vain. 4. I need thee every hour; teach me thy will; and thy rich promises in me fulfill. 5. I need thee every hour, most Holy One; O make me thine indeed, thou blessed Son.

God IS LOVE! When you know and have God's love you will know and feel a love that you never knew existed.
