I understand that God has a purpose higher than anything man could comprehend

So you punish your children forever in the worst way possible for breaking the rules? How is that rational?

3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me

10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

There are many more verses that have been posted which i am positive you have read.
Thank you for those verses.

I am growing and learning everyday. Some days I am eager to learn, some days I am distracted . . . Other times my heart may not be where it should be. I have a desire to understand all people, and I have learned so much from you and other's here. God Bless, Lifesigns64

Great, then you must love God knowing you cannot prove your not damned to hell. Since the purpose is higher than you can imagine, Heaven or Hell must be great.

Wasn't Jesus, the God who spoke in the Old Testament . . before Abraham was born "I Am"??

Didn't Jesus refer to the old testament in his teachings . . . . he didn't each that the God in that scripture was a raving, bloodthirsty lunatic to my knowledge.

Yes the OT is used to interpret the NT but the NT should never be used to interpret the OT.
No, He taught that the OT law is the reason God had to punish in that way. Now we have Jesus to take away the stain of sin... that is why it is a better covenant.
Not sure who's post you were referring to but gave my 2 cents anyway.

Not sure.. I'm new. In fact, I am only expressing my beliefs... didn't realize there was a name for it or label. Couldn't find a single person in my neck of the woods that found out the same truths.
