Hey all.

We are planning a trip to Cincy the weekend leading up to NYE.
Does anyone have an opinion on the hotels downtown. I'm going nuts reading all the good v bad reviews on the various websites.

Thinking about
Westin
Garfield Suites
Maybe the Embassy Suites in Covington RiverCenter.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Obviously residents don't necessarily concern themselves with hotels, but if you got something........

Avoid the millennium. That place is terrible. Id go with the Westin or the Cincinnatian to be right in the action. Good luck!

I'm partial to the Netherland Plaza. Westin is nice, too.

Whooops, yeah, Netherland is our flagship hotel. Westin is more modern, Netherland is more classic

Thanks!

We actually stayed at the Millennium a few times. Wasn't it the Omni before that?

It's been a number of years, but it really wasn't on our radar this time.

I'll look into the Netherland and Cincinnatian as well. I've been eyeing up the Westin.

Omni owned the Netherland at one time, so you may very well have stayed there already. Hilton owns the Netherland now.

If it's more or less a toss up between the Westin, Cincinnatian, and the Netherland, based on prices I can find, it seems the nod would go to the Westin.

Hmmmmm....

I would still select the Netherland if you want a memorable experience,

The Westin's got a slightly better location while the Hilton has the more beautiful lobby. Rooms are similar. Even if you don't stay at the Hilton, if time permits, try to walk thru the ballroom with the Art-Deco ceiling.
