Ooops! Sorry. I spent most of my adulthood chasing women with "daddy issues." Now, I am chastened by the endless photos of Demi Moore and her much younger squeeze. Hardly a "pathetic" older woman. I apologize.

This is a funny thread.

Once upon a time - early 1990s - plentiful cougars were to be found at the co-located meat markets of Spanky's at the Holiday Inn on Sharon Rd and the other meat market bar in the Ramada on the north side of Sharon Road whose name escapes me.

But, sorry, fresh out now.

These two bars were vestiges of the old 70s disco scene of irresponsible random hook-ups by mid 30s - mid 40 year olds. I found, as the guy said above, more wholesome things to do with my time after those places closed.

Well, as long as we are talking historically famous cougar bars, I have to put in my vote for the Islands, an early 80's version of (and inspiration for) the Waterdump. I think the Islands was the upscale version of an 80's cougar bar. It had a bit of everything. Plenty of drunk divorcees, big drinks, a restaurant if buying a girl a meal seemed appropriate, and a really pretty view of the Cincinnati Skyline.

The downscale version, of course, was the trashy Conservatory, where 40-something divorcees disco'd the night away hoping to have romance in the parking lot, or even occasionally in the restrooms.

A third place for reckless intercourse was the predecessor of Willie's Covington, which, although I was probably in there 100 times, for the life of me I cannot remember the name of right now. Let's just call this lapse a "senior moment."

OK, I had to phone a friend for my final answer. Of course, it was the Glass. The Glass Menagerie.

What was the name of the bar atop the Holiday Inn on 8th & Linn? Was it Lucy in the Sky? I think it was. It would fit into that category.

Definitely. Jeff Ruby was the general manager for Lucy's. That's how he got his start.
