He's no more important than the hundreds of people that get robbed in the region.

I agree, but it is what makes the news. Still a sad remark on the area as a whole.

He's lucky as heck he was able to tell the story, could've easily ended much worse. I agree Cincy-Rise but it is pertinent as there's been some threads seeking advice about the Clifton/UC Campus area.

Pretty sad that's basically right on Campus. I can remember when the adjacent Short Vine was THE area to be for nightlife.

It's a big negative for Cincinnati that the area around the campus is what it is. I think there are a couple pertinent points to keep in mind with the Gilyard story, though: (a) he said he got careless and let his guard down and (b) I suspect he was recognized and targeted.

Lol. I got a few laughs from reading that article. Not from the occurrence itself, but from the anecdotes included in the article: "We See Your Chains! Give Me Your Chains!" Hilarious...I can just picture the whole thing going down.

I noticed they made sure they inlcuded he lives in Northern Kentcuky. Haha. He's probably living lavishly somewhere way out in Boone County....In all seriousness though, I can't say I blame him. Too bad he got caught "slippin," along with his bodyguard who left him unguarded.
