San Diego population 2010 = 1,417,000
Philadelphia population 2010 = 1,529,000
San Diego population 2040 = 2,219,000
Philadelphia population 2040 = 1,988,000

Now, that is obvious

Honestly with the disaster the California economy is in, no one can predict any California cities population in 2040,lol. Philadelphia will remain on top in the future because of its true urban core.
