Cicero turns into 50 right out of 94.
Western and North are both under 20 too

What are you looking at?
Western is the longest street within city limits in the world.

How could it possibly be under 20 when the city isn't even that short?

Cicero doesn't turn to 50 out of 94?

Cicero has the 50 sign all through the city.
But it isn't a highway.

Raleigh has a road that starts in west Raleigh as Blue Ridge Road that turns into Duraleigh Rd as it heads northwest. It then crosses Glenwood Avenue and changes names to Millbrook Rd as it turns and heads east across north Raleigh. Finally, it turns toward the south on the east side of Raleigh as New Hope Rd. and finally terminates in southeast Raleigh. I don't know how long it is but it's probably 25 miles.

Another series of road names that connect as one road in Wake County starts as W. Chatham St. in Cary and winds its way through Cary before turning into Hillsborough St. then Western Boulevard as it enters Raleigh. It passes through NC State University and proceeds toward the south side of Downtown where it changes names to MLK Jr. Boulevard. On the east side of Raleigh, it becomes Poole Road. It then exits the city on the east side and eventually turns into S. Buffalo St. in Wendell where it ends. I think that one is about 30 miles.

With the rapid growth of Raleigh and the surrounding towns, many roads were re-aligned and merged. Needless to say, nobody wanted the name of "THEIR" road changed. Hence, the long and winding roads with many names.

Sepulveda Blvd is not a highway per se but rather the Pacific Coast Highway is actually a surface street blvd thru sections of metro West LA and is not a highway at all until well south of Long Beach in Orange county.

I checked again at street view and it pretty much looks like a state road/freeway/highway after Westchester. It goes through different areas and begins to look like a normal street again, but then again it flips back to the highway look. I think Imperial is a longer stretch of city street
