The New Year's tradition in L.A. is camping out for the Rose Parade.

But none of the above for me. I'd rather be in!

Ball drop in NYC is no contest but factor that out and I would take LA Live next followed closely by Vegas and last but certainly the least the peach drop in Atlanta

New York always looks like it has the best parties/live peformances/all of the news crews/millions of people from around the world. I don't think it's even a competition. Las Vegas looks fun and Hollywood looks like it has some serious parties, but they're not my type of places to party.

Atlanta's Peach Drop/Fireworks are very very underwhelming. Nashville has the Guitar Drop and it actually looks like more fun and has better fireworks. Atlanta is a fun city overall, but I would skip out on Atlanta for NYE and July 4th. Fireworks in Atlanta are the worst I have ever seen anywhere.

I voted for New York City since the tradition goes back probably a century or more. Does anyone know how many years back there has been ball drop in NYC? Never heard of the Peach drop. Vegas gets a good crowd each year if people take the time to stop gambling for a minute. The LA Live event is fairly new and will likely take on more significant once the new stadium is built [i.e. evening concerts on New Year's eve].

I wonder how many people who say NYC for NYE actually have been there. While it looks awesome on TV the reality is it's congested to the point of being extremely dangerous, people are beyond drunk (i.e public puking and urinating in the tight congested confines) everything that is overpriced in times square on a normal day becomes 10x moreso. It is so incredibly overrated. Maybe go to say you have been there but I don't know too many people who have been and would go again. Mostly tourists there to go crazy.

The Peach Drop is the largest celebration in this region of the country. While it's too crowded for my taste, it routinely attracts huge crowds.

Take a look at all the "homers" that were there last night.
