- Weather- SF
- Scenery- SF
- Economy-well Manhattans economy is the largest
- Education- SF has the most college educated people out of any US city
- Parks- SF (the presidio!
- Waterfront- SF
- Skyline- MAnhattan (although i am not a big fan of high rise cities)
- Downtown activity- Manhattan (SF activity is more spread out.)
- Shopping-
- Diversity- Tie
- Housing stock
- School systems (K-12)- SF. manhattan public schools are THE WORST
- Higher education (Colleges & Universities)- Manhattan
- Mass Transit- Tie
- Niche Industry (What are they for either?)- SF
- Pace of life- SF (manhattan to stressful)

I think its to epic and mind boggling for most people. In my opinion this comparison is more interesting than the comparisons that normally come up in this forum. Really the thought of a borough being more urban than a major city might hurt some feelings on this site

Agreed, this thread is proof that many of those who claim to have "seen" NYC haven't ever left Manhattan. People who talk down on NYC have seen only Manhattan, this thread would have received more traffic if more were well traveled or knew about NYC's other boroughs, IMO

Manhattan =/= all of NYC

Nobody said it was a shopping mecca. But has world class vibrance and above average hustle and bustle

queens is more comparable to sf, IMO.
