We have to be one of the FEW states in the Midwest to have a sizeable gain in the black population.
% Change in black population:
States not typically known to have large black populations:
Iowa +44.1% to 88,500
Minnesota +59.8% to 276,000
North Dakota +103.3% to 8,000
South Dakota +117.9% to 10,600
Nebraska +20.9% to 82,200
Kansas +8.9% to 168,400
Wisconsin +18% to 358,500
Up to around 1,000,000 total, and an increase of 215,000 from the 2000 census.
States known to have larger black populations:
Illinois -.06% to 1,860,000
Michigan *not released, but almost sure to be a decent decrease in population
Ohio +8.2% to 1,407,500
Indiana +16% to 1,037,500
I would think Illinois would have to be about the only state to see a decrease in its black population while having an increase in the white population.

After 1 winter they head for Atlanta, I know at least 50 men and women that lived there, could not stand the cold.
I work with African groups within the Twin Cities area and very few leave once they are here due to family, business, and most importantly, tolerance. Many that leave end up coming back. BTW, 1 in 3 Somalis live within the Twin Cities area.
I'm beginning to think you are more of a troll than someone who actually knows what she is talking about.
