I am currently 20 years old.

In which of these would I have the most fun?

Which of these cities has the most number of diverse shops, departement stores, restaurants, bars, parks, clubs, nightlife, cinemas, etc etc. I also like to go camping alot.

In other words I would like to step out of my house/apt and see a line of shops/restaurants lined up sorta nyc style. I would like to have everything close to where I live.

Which of these cities would feel the most vibrant and lively to me?

It all depends. For bars, you will probably have the most fun in Philly. For restaurants, you will probably enjoy Chicago the most. It's all pretty close.

For nightlife, Chicago gets the edge. Then Boston and Philly. All of the cities have an awesome nightlife, so it's pretty debatable.

For shopping, you will most likely enjoy Chicago the most. If you want to shop at really upscale shops, then Boston would probably fit you.

Parks, same scenario. I liked the parks in Philadelphia than I did with Chicago and Boston. Just me though.

I enjoy Boston but think the nightlife there is kind of weak. Chicago and Philly (and many other cities) have a better nightlife than Boston.

At 20 you'd probably like Chicago more...

Although I like boston, I would agree with this statement.

Chicago is the best hands down, its more to do and a much better downtown. How do you compare Philly and Boston with Chicago? A better comparison would have been Chicago vs LA or maybe NYC.

^cdw1084 is suggesting LA, NYC and Chicago because they've never been compared before on citydata.

Thank you for enlightening us all cdw1084 with your wisdom. I am a better person now because of it. Chicago vs LA and NYC? Wow, I don't think anyone thought of that before.

All 3 are great cities. Are you going to be attending school in these cities, or just living?

CDW, these cities are all pretty comparable in size (when it comes to CSAs), and they're all damn good places to be. Chicago's skyline is bigger, but in many other areas Philly and Boston can meet or beat Chicago...this isn't like comparing NYC to Cincinnatti or something like that.
