Lol the bolded. I'm guessing you're saying that them being from the projects kind of separates them from other southern rap (??). If so, I agree with that. Project rap tends to have more of that "bricks" mentality to it. You'll see that even in the Houston and Atlanta scenes.

I'm not sure if this what you're saying, though

Another poster described CMR as "Country boys from the 'jects"..... Me saying 'really?' was my reaction.

You got lots of talent out of Atlanta; it's just that garbage overshadows it.

This is soooo true, but then again it isn't.
Philly rappers are mostly creative and lyrical, but not all rappers out of the ATL are trash.
I mean yes you have your Gucci's, and waka's, Shawty Lo's and OJ the juiceman's, but then you've got people like B.O.B
i mean come on Beast Mode is hella tuff!

Removed - post links ONLY (this isn't a music video room)
YouTube - B.o.B - Beast Mode - Video

Then you've got T.I. who has made classic jamz like this

YouTube - T.I. - Why You Wanna (Video)

then you've got people like
Outkast
Cyhi Da Prince

So coming from someone in new york who understand why people think all southren rap is trash, isn't true. Does the south produce alot of ringtone/party rappers yes! but there are the few who chose to stay lyrical. yes!

Philly has never had a multi platinum selling rapper other than Will Smith. The ATL has too many to choose from, plus lyrically, noone in Philly can fu*k with T.I.

Last warning:

As was warned earlier in the thread, post LINKS ONLY to videos. The language on this site is "PG-13" and too many of the lyrics are crossing that line. Do not post embeds of the videos here - ONLY links or the post will be removed.
