Just because CA is not in NY's league doesn't mean there's anything wrong with CA. It's still a good state, darn good, and ya'll should be proud a comparison was even attempted. Trophies to everyone CA!

Yes yes, upstate NY vs CA, now we're at least approaching a fair comparison.

NYC garners the majority of votes for NYS, but the rest of NYC is actually pretty interesting with the long coastal stretch from Long Island and its forks, the large and scenic highlands that the Hudson cuts through where many of the US's old colonial settlements were made, the multitude of lakes in the interior nestled among hills, the frontage of two great lakes, and the thousand islands region with its old mansions set on thousands of islands and mother of the great in-n-out spread.

^ This along with some interesting history from Underground Railroad/Women's Right Movement/major figures in American history/etc, a very good state parks system, mountains, museums, quaint small towns, very good colleges and universities, 4 seasons, plenty of farmland, natural wonders(Niagara Falls), ethnic culture throughout multiple cities, etc.
