I shouldn't have included Philadelphia, it's really not that large and is only a Gamma. Personally I would say that Chicago is the greenest city and arguably the most educated. New York the economic center. Miami does have the largest concentration of international banks in the country. I would also say people in Los Angeles have the better lifestyle.
It should also be noted that Chicago is ranked as the most illiterate city. And while its doing a great job getting green, its not the greenest.
When is Miami going to get its act together on public transit? It's far behind the others, with the exception of maybe L.A. and Philadelphia.
Miami's not nearly as big as the others. Considering it's size, the city-limits has decent public transit. It has the Tri-Rail, Metrorail, and Monorail(People-mover)that can take you ANYWHERE in Downtown Miami and vicinity. Not many other cities have the People-mover.
It should also be noted that Chicago is ranked as the most illiterate city. And while its doing a great job getting green, its not the greenest.
lol, where do you come up with this stuff? Do you just pull a topic out of a hat and insert Chicago. Ha.
At least pick some factor where the city you're bashing doesn't actually come out much more on top than on bottom. I wouldn't call the top 37% as dead last. Who's illiterate now? http://www.citymayors.com/education/...te_cities.html

$48,000 a year is quite a bit of money for a Michigan resident. Our cost of living is not sky high like Cali or NYC. I would of expected the LA and NYC area to double that because of the cost of living. But im very shocked at Miami for only making $26,000 a year, I thought FL was expensive.
Some are probably too young to remeber this, but always loved this Neil Young song, once sat next to him at Nobu in Malibu, was a cool moment for me. Neil and 140K of his closest friends hangin in Philly
Chicago and Philly don't belong in the same sentence as the other 3. Seriously.
Chicago is a great city but there isnt anything alluring about it nor anything unique. It doesn't have anything other places don't aside from the large skyline. Although it has lots to offer, it just isn't what comes to mind as an ecstatic destination. Miami, NYC, and LA are one of a kind and the only cities of their kinds.
