How isn't it? U of T? Besides that, I don't know why Austin would be ranked higher in this regard.

Collectively they enroll around 25,000 students and range in quality between good and excellent. Besides Augsburg and MCAD, they are all located in the western half of St Paul, which gives that part of the city a New England college town feel. Macalester is one of the top liberal arts schools in the Midwest. Carleton and Gustavus Adolphus are in the outer exurbs of the Twin Cities, Carleton, like Macalester is also one of the top liberal arts schools in the Midwest.
Did you mean 250,000 students?

Why, when we talk about public colleges, don't we talk about public K-12 schools? To me, that is THE most important criteria for education, hands down. MSP has amazing free, public K-12 schools. It's one of the best reasons for living in this "cold, frigid hell".

Austin area has Texas St, Concordia, Huston-Tilotson, St. Edwards, ACC. Plenty of education options. Austin and Minneapolis both have educated residents, with Austin a slight edge. You can say Boston, DC and SF may be more educated than Austin, but not Minneapolis.

Minneapolis is on a totally different level than Austin. It's not even close.

True, I just hope Austin grows into what Minneapolis is today. How I look at it, is that Minneapolis is like Austin bigger brother. Twice as large and more amenities and a well around city that focuses on education.
