It's hard to narrow down one state, but that state would be located east of the Mississippi River and north of the Mason Dixon Line/Ohio River excluding New England.
And before I get trashed again for the northern thing, no, the North is not the traditional image of Americana. I made an exception for Vermont/parts of New England cause that is where Norman ROckwell lived and painted most of his life. I think the heart and soul and spirit of America is found in those places of the heartland the South, the small towns, farms, and ranches where most Americans live. Not in the homogenized suburbs and depressing cities of the East and West Coasts or the bigger cities of the South.
Hate to break it to you, bud, but most Americans live in the East and West Coast cities and their suburbs as well as the bigger cities of the South and their suburbs.
