It isn't. It's rather ugly and messy looking.

No one ever called Toronto a beautiful city at street level.
I was addressing the stupid comparison to Afghanistan. In no way, shape, or form does KM represent any part of Afghanistan.

I've been there. As you see by the images, it is far from nice. The United States has far more upscale, better "Kensington Market" type areas (as you see from some of the replies and images of places in Boston, etc)

I don't know why you seem to care if the United States has neighbourhoods like these, it almost seems like you're trying to convey some sort of point about Canada having something that the United States doesn't have (Seems like Canadians do this all the time) Kensington market is comparable to Afghanistan. That was actually a good comparison, I like that.

Toronto has more upscale areas than Kensington Market as well. That's not what I asked. I asked if the USA has any neighbourhoods similar to KM. Any hood that is upscale is NOT similar to KM.

Umm...I was curious. What is the point of all the vs. threads around here?

No, that is a lie. How much time have you spent in Afghanistan? And name some ways in which it is similar. Do you see bombs being dropped in KM? Dead bodies lying around? Horrible poverty and extreme violence? Please be specific. In what ways are they similar? I'm 99.99999% sure that you are lying.

Whoa there! How much time you have spent in Kabul? I'm pretty sure you've just heard some stuff online and have never spent any time there.

Williamsburg/Greenpoint, Brooklyn in NYC is similar. KM may be more concentrated however, while Williamsburg is more spread out.

Coming from someone who has been there....no. Not even close.

Have you even been south of NYC?
