Someone may have stated it but San Diego and Miami would be interesting. The mountains, low humidity, nice neighborhoods like La Jolla + warm water soft sand beaches, Miami vibrancy + Miami and San Diego nightlife = paradise

Montre-Diego

Montreal for its worldly, urbane, European hipness
San Diego for the weather. I love Montreal.

Just not in January.

I'd mix my hometown of Charlotte with my current home Minneapolis. I will would add St. Paul with Minneapolis as they literally border one another and they are both considered central / core cities.

MinneSaintCharlotte
* A combined Minneapolis - St. Paul - Charlotte skyline would be insane.
* 29 Fortune 500 companies (as of 2011), which would be second behind NYC.
* Steady population growth (city and metro)
* Very young, literate population
* Four seasons

Easy. Just move Chicago a little south so the weather's better! It's already otherwise the ideal city.
