Dallas, Houston, Miami, Washington-DC, Baltimore, Texas, Maryland, and South Florida are not a part of The American South.

I'll give you DC and Baltimore. Miami? Eh, a little blurry there. But Texas? Nope. At least the eastern half of the state, including Houston and DFW, considers themselves Southerners. I've heard it from them over and over.

Mutiny, I guess it's one of those things where if you keep repeating it over and over again, you will have convinced yourself that it's indeed true.

But we're dealing with someone who "caint" even find a credible source to back up his statements, so I'd say we have nothing to worry about.

It seems like a lot of people from Atlanta dont really consider Dallas southern. I had an ex from Atlanta who would argue vigorously that Dallas was Midwestern.

I say Dallas is part of the Texas, the Great Plains, and the South in that order.
