Bajan, the point is...I live here. You do not, nor have you ever lived here, and judging by your posts have only visited maybe once or twice for a short period of time and didn't get out much. There's something called humility and I suggest you look into it.

Back to the main topic. I would love to hear this, because I do think Chicago and Philadelphia are two of the most underrated big cities in the US.

Then you should be telling me about the industry scene in Chicago.

New York definitely has an entirely different scene than Chicago. Whether that makes it "better" or not is another question entirely. Is the nightlife in Madrid or Munich not good b/c they don't have the "scene" or "industry" of New York?

What do you like? Restaurants? Bars? Museums? Shopping? Fantastic urban neighborhoods? Historic neighborhoods? Parks? What?

It depends what you are looking for. Center City is the main nightlife area but there are definitely other great hoods to spend time in. There are bars all over CC (and all over Philly) but concentrations in Old City, South Street (South of Old City), 13th Street (Gayborhood), cross streets between Broad st and Rittenhouse Square.

There are clubs along Delaware Ave/Penns Landing area, a Dave and Busters and a casino. A little further North is Northern Liberties, Fishtown and The Piazza at Schmitds which is a pretty cool space and has many free events. Very young/artsy scene. Johnny Brenda's, Kung Fu Necktie, El Bar could be worth checking out for a concert. There are some other cool larger venues like Underground Arts, Tower, TLA, Electric Factory, Trocadero, Union Transfer, Blockley, World Cafe Live. For even larger concerts I'm a fan of The Mann Music Center and Susquehanna Bank in Camden.

University City and West Philly have some great places to check out and tons of college students hanging out. Manayunk a little further out in NW Philly is even more geared toward College kids/post college but has a nice drag with many bars/restaurants/retail.

South Philly and especially East Passyunk have some great bars and more and more great restaurants. The sports complex is located in South Philly and it would definitely be worth it to get to a Phillies game and check out the pretty new Xfinity Live complex.

In the Summer it would be fun to spend a night down the shore in Atlantic City and even Sea Isle City/Avalon have lively nightlifes.

I'm talking about a "scene," man (summoning the spirit of Allen Iverson). These are people in the business of fashion, not just into fashion. But again, what type of fashion "scene" exists in Chicago?

I can't say I know any supermodels, but I do meet a lot of models. They just aren't famous (yet). Cary Foulkes is an example of someone you might meet at any regular event (or someone in her position two years ago before she landed a national ad). That's why girls move to New York.

You can claim the industry but you cant claim the women. Especially since virtually none of them are from NYC.

Lets gather the best broads from Staten Italy, the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn and see where they fare with women across the country. Im talking real NYers, not transplants.

Back to the main topic. I would love to hear this, because I do think Chicago and Philadelphia are two of the most underrated big cities in the US.

My three favorite cities are Chicago, Philly and NYC, and in that order. I find an authenticity to the first two (like Boston, SF, NO) that I really dont find in NYC. In Brooklyn and Queens and the Bronx I do, but not so much the city.

Before I really ever traveled around the US (ive been to probably 80% of the country/cities), I thought NYC was the best place or whatever. Its all I knew really, with the usual trips to Hawaii, Florida and other NE cities. Boy was I wrong.

Its shortsighted and foolish to think that when you have never experienced other places to compare/contrast.

NYers love to think NYC is the greatest/best, when really, that statement can only be made when you have truly experienced everywhere there is to experience.

Some of the best bars, clubs, restaurants, etc. ive had the pleasure of going to are nowhere near NYC.

****, even the pizza where im from Upstate is better than most of what ive had in NYC, but they claim to have the best pizza too. Pizza where im from isnt made to impress, its made because its a local tradition from the massive Italian roots laid there. Friend of mine and I who recently moved to Brooklyn at the time went on a pizza tour and one of the stops was to Spumoni Gardens. We laughed the entire time cause its nothing more than hot tomato pie, but in Brooklyn, they swear by it.

Anyway, back to Chicago vs Philly nightlife. Both are among my absolute favorites in the country.

Well, you should leave. I'm sure there's an immigrant family somewhere that could use your 230 square foot apartment.

Always wonder why you fellas are busy on an internet forum bragging about how universally amazing and unbeatable your amenities are when you arent using them instead. Gladly leave the mindset behind.
