What exactly is a smaller or mid-sized city? Are we going on the land size of the city, population, the amount of large buildings or what?

In my opinion, the city that has the most beautiful skyline is Jacksonville Florida, period, but I don't know if Jacksonville would be considered a smaller or mid-sized city? I guess it would be a mid-sized city? It's the largest city land mass wise in the US and it's the largest city population wise in the state of Florida. Jacksonville is also the third most populated city on the East Coast, after New York City and Philadelphia. As of the 2006 census estimate, the city proper had an estimated population of 794,555 with a metropolitan population of more than 1.3 million. But, Jacksonville doesn't have too many skyscrapers, or very tall buildings. Like I said, I guess Jacksonville would be considered a mid-sized city, but either way, I think it has the most beautiful skyline! Jacksonville is my favorite city because it's my home city, but I don't think any city compares to Jacksonville when it comes to skyline, especially at night! Just my opinion though!

It's weired to me that Jacksonville never seems to be included in much of anything on here? On all of the threads about skylines, river cities, etc, they have pretty much every city except Jacksonville. Jacksonville definitely isn't the biggest city, but it is a lot bigger than other cities that seem to always be included, and it may not have the most beautiful skyline in the eyes of some people, but it's definitely not an ugly skyline.

Yeah, I love Miami's skyline! It's not my number one favorite, but it's definitely in the top three! To me, the number of buildings isn't what makes a skyline the most beautiful. I mean, obviously there has to be some pretty significant buildings, but I don't think that's all there is to a skyline. To me, for a skyline to really be beautiful, there has to be some unique buildings, nice bridges and I like skylines that are lit up different colors at night. Oh, I also love skylines of cities that are on the water because at night when everything reflects off of the water, it's just breathtaking! It seems to me like a lot of people don't even think about a lot of the Florida city skylines? My top three favorite skylines are Florida's three largest cities. Actually my favorites are in the same order as the cities are, number one being the largest in Florida, number two is 2nd and number three is 3rd.

As I have said many times before, Jacksonville is my number one favorite..

Then Miami is my 2nd favorite..

And Tampa is my 3rd favorite..

I just love the way cities that are on the water look at night! To me it seems like a lot of people just completely over look a lot of the Florida city skylines, but in my opinion, they are honestly some of the most beautiful!

How did Boise make it into the "best" thread? It would rank poorly over in the "worst" one.
