Duh! lol the point is that the South took over
with this Hip Hop by talentless Southern rappers.
Well that mean you guys are just as guilty as us since your the ones endorsing it as well. In the south you hear more locals than Soulja boy and Hurricane Chris.
nyrican wtf are u goin on about, ny hasn't been anything for years, there is no new talent coming out of ny, thats why geriatric ass jayz is still one of the front runners for that city
and im in ny all the time, tell the people what music they play there? lol... whatever is "hot" at the moment is whats playin, if that means huricane chris, then thats what hot 97 and the other stations are gona be playing
Yeah I saw that to, Rachael84 and RicanPapi who made that comment about NYC radio not playing southern artists leads me to believe that they are not really in NYC. Last time I was in NYC I was suprised actually at the amount of southern Hip Hop that Power 105 and Hot 97 played. You hear just as much TI, Jeezy and Gucci Mane on the radio up there as you do down here, so I guess they either dont really live in NYC or they dont listen to the radio

That basically undermines you all's entire argument, and it also highlights that even though you say your from NYC, neither of you have any street smarts!!! If you had a 1/4 of a street brain you would know that there is no way a song called "White Lines" could be about crack. I was wondering how long you were going to run with that nonsense. Even if you take a small $3 crack rock and crush it up it still wouldn't be a white line!!!! You would have a bunch of off-white, much smaller rocks
White lines= powder Cocaine
Off white rocks= Crack
Newsflash: nycricanpapi grew up in the Bronx in the 80s...you didn't. Let's see who's more credible

I grew up here and so did he...I'm not a transplant like most. I scan the radio a lot and just stop when I hear something good. I probably can't recognize southern rappers as much on these stations.
Most things happen in NY before they do anywhere else.
Actually no, it began mostly in cities along the Mexico borders (LA, Houston, San Deigo), and Florida and worked its way up north. Drugs are usually always shipped in over Mexico borders, or from Cuba. The crack epidemic was big EVERYWHERE; NYC and LA just got lots of publicity and coverage compared to other cities.
