My experience has always been that megacities like NYC, London, Paris, etc. are too big to be true "party cities".


Yes, they have basically anything you could want in terms of nightlife, but the scene(s) is often diffuse across the city. Unless they want to concentrate things in one area - which few of them end up doing effectively. Probably (again) because they are too big.


Many smaller cities than them often end up giving off a stronger vibe as loose, easy-going party places.

I understand what you mean and I even kind of agree but NOLA isn't literally built for partying like Vegas is. Miami is another one.

That makes sense. But they could still have nightlife areas in concentration in certain neighborhoods. From my understanding, that's how it's already set up.
