Janesville. I once dated someone from there, and Terre Haute is kind of a dump.

Reedsport, OR or White Salmon, WA?

I like the Oregon coast, but probably a lot better for just visiting. as Reedsport is a little isolated. Would pick White Salmon, since it's just about 1.5 hours to Portland and the Columbia River gorge is impressive.

Ashland, OR or Eureka, CA?

Eureka CA. I've heard of it before and people in OR are very unique.

Settle, WA vs Chicago, IL

I really do love Seattle and would be more than happy to live there, but Chicago is my favorite city I've lived in and in my top 3 for the US.

Starkville, MS vs Tempe, AZ

Tempe, AZ for sure. I prefer AZ to MS.

Richmond, VA or Tacoma, WA?

Richmond...Not sure about how these two stack up as individual cities but I prefer Richmond's regional location (warmer climate, proximity to Atlantic Ocean, proximity to DMV) so that takes the cake here.

Erie, PA or Sheboygan, WI?

Erie. Has a cool downtown lakefront park (on an island in the lake), a little bigger than Sheboygan, more stuff nearby as well.

Washington, D.C., or Baltimore, Md.? (Baltimore's a little too big to really be considered a "satellite" of Washington — it's still a metropolitan center in its own right, too — but the two metropolitan economies are merging at the edges.)

Washington. It's more prosperous, more powerful, not as run down, and has a lot of very interesting cultural amenities. Also marijuana is legal there.

Tupelo, Mississippi or Saginaw, Michigan?

Saginaw, because MI >> MS, although I don't have any particular interest in Saganaw itself...

Cleveland, OH vs. Cincinnati,OH

^ Oh boy! Going to get banged over the head for this one!

I'd rather live in Cincinnati. Milder winters. More sunshine. Rugged terrain like my beloved Pittsburgh. Inexpensive cost-of-living. Diversified economy. Nice urban neighborhoods like Over-the-Rhine, Mt. Adams, and Hyde Park.

NEXT: Montpelier, VT vs. Pierre, SD
