Washington, DC or Los Angeles, CA?
Los Angeles isn't the capital, so it wins by default.

Deming, New Mexico or Safford, Arizona?

Safford... It seems a little nicer and has more going on within the town itself. Deming is just far enough away from Las Cruces to be out of my comfortable commute range for regular activities.

Rome, NY or Findlay, OH?

Yuma because I am more familiar. Yuma also is cheaper with better scenery.

Evansville, IN or Jefferson City, MO?

Jefferson City. I like that it's the capital and it's smaller. I also think I'd prefer MO to IN.

Charleston, West Virginia or Burlington, Vermont?

Burlington. Vermont is more progressive, doing better economically, closer to more interesting scenery from lakes/skiing/hiking/fall foliage/maple syrup festivals/boating on a lake, and when this pandemic ends, closer to a more cosmopolitan city than Charleston is (Montreal).

Washington, DC vs. Philadelphia .

Probably DC. Have heard a lot of good things especially concerning opportunities. Ft. Lauderdale FL or St. Petersburg FL?

St. Pete. It's more charming and down to earth.

Hartford (metro), Connecticut or Charlotte, North Carolina?

Ft. Lauderdale. I prefer the aesthetics and urban design of south Florida over the Tampa Bay area.

Traverse City, MI or Charlottesville, VA?

Charlottesville. While Northern Michigan is beautiful and has a lot of appeal, its winters are just too extreme to live there full time. C'ville has the mountains and specifically Shenandoah N.P., fascinating history, and a top notch university.

Hartford (metro), Connecticut or Charlotte, North Carolina?
