Raleigh, NC or Rochester, NY?
Raleigh has a much better climate and more modern infrastructure with few blighted areas. No contest in my opinion.

Lafayette, LA or Charleston, WV?

Been to Tucson, it's ok. I haven't been to Buffalo but I heard their summers are insanely nice, but those winters....

My vote goes for Buffalo. I could be a snowbird and migrate south during the winter!

Dallas or Atlanta
