Shhh, don't talk about that. You have to stick with the irrational, delusional and cliche antagonist Philly fan agenda

As a Ranger fan I feel obliged to post this. It does happen everywhere.

At any rate I don't think sports fans make or break this comparison but do know Philly fans are very passionate, as much so as anyplace

Anyway this thread should get back on topic.

Still, Philadelphia is one of the most insanely passionate sports towns in the country.

There is no excuse for violence, but that should at least mean they take their sports very seriously, regardless of whether its right or wrong.

Eagles and Flyers fans are usually voted the most intimidating for a reason.

Being a Philly sports fan is a birthright. It's an identity.

NYC, Buffalo, Boston, Chicago, all the same, but their fanbases do vary.

Depends what you value.

I like Philly. Way more than I thought before I really visited at length. The south half of Downtown (oops, City Center) is urban nirvana and the city overall has tons going for it. It deserves a way better and larger reputation than it has.

I'm torn between preferring a city that's already large and classically urban and growing somewhat (sorry Philly, you're booming but not at Seattle's level) vs. a city that's not there but is heading in that direction at a furious pace.

In other aspects Seattle is generally better. Scenery being a big one.
