Top Golf is not in an "upscale area where the golf courses are." It's an indoor/outdoor complex in a downtown neighborhood next to the Convention Center.

Updates for numerous cities and crime summary coming later week

NYC is on track for 280 murders this year current at 218 another year of under 300 mark if trend stay the same the city will see under 200 murders in 5-7 years from now or less.

Chicago is on track for 530 murders it big improvement over 2016, 2017 but on par with 2012 numbers the city still has long way to go.

LA has seen 185 murders this year so far way down from last year

Philly has seen 243 homicides this year it is up 9% from previous year the highest total since 2012

Miami has seen 32 homicides so far this year it is way down from last year

I just notice the misspelling again , LoL. Seriously have an issue with autocorrect. Do you have a map to reflect a trend of it spreading to upscale areas? It could be domestic violence or even robberies.

I remember a time when crime was pretty much everywhere in America, even in NYC and LA. Tourists had to take extra caution when visiting those cities. Now those two cities are comparable to Toronto, Sydney, or London. Back then America as a whole had a reputation for being dangerous and violent. Now it's just the South and some parts of the Midwest.

Yet people worry about building the wall as if ALL the crime is committed by immigrants from South of the border, but I think a better solution is to regard state-to-state migration the same way as international. It would be nice if they screened people and denied entry for anyone with a criminal background into Georgia. That would prevent all the thugs from moving to Atlanta.

Please let that person be. It was a craigslist deal that went bad. They met up a few blocks away..for whatever reason a round was fired off and it grazed a window. Didn't even shattered it. Sometimes you just have to let special people have their moment..

in I think 1993, NYC had 2300 homicides with only 7.5 Millions people, L.A had around 1000-1500... Central park was a hell hole and it was advised against taking the NYC subway at night and Times Square was full of prostitute... Times changes a lot

Well, people goes to Georgia (the south in general) because of the affordability, not the best educated are leaving California, New York... But more middle to low wage worker who can not afford and poor people thus bringing the crime up in many southern cities. The only way to "screen" criminal is to bump up prices, they will move elsewhere, I mean look at Oakland...
