That’s way off and Chicago police probably sounds more legit since I normally use NYpD to track down NYC homicides.

I don’t rely on the blog, I use the city’s official numbers as per CPD, some people here seem to swear by that site. Heyjackass states that they count all homicides on the website and CPD counts murders.

Heyjackass is stupid. I would never rely on that site. I wouldn't be surprised if it said Chicago had over 800 murders in 2016.

Chicago had about 550 murders last year.

Just checked. It says 808 murders in Chicago for 2016. Case in point.
