Jacksonville as of 08/08 - 80 (92 if including justifiable homicides)

I also found a slightly more accurate count for Miami-Dade, but its still limited. This includes unincorporated Miami-Date County, city of Miami, Hialeah, Doral, Coral Gables and Pinecrest. There are still cities missing like Miami Gardens and others. Its also only from 2/11 to 08/08:

Miami-Dade (from 02/11 to 08/08) - 74

I have yet to find a city with a higher black homicide rate than LA had.

Sergio Robleto, an LAPD sergeant said LAPD was fired upon 55 times in one month in 1993. And that's just in the City of LA. That's almost twice a day.

2,589 homicides in LA County in a year. 3,000+ in the overall LA area.

Numbers like these are unheard of except in places like Brazilian urban areas.

LA was do to crack epidemic. how many murders did LA county have last year. LA had a 20 year run. that's it? Chicago has had am elevated murder rate for over a century. they're not the same. once again how many murders did LA have last year amd how many did LA by itself? I don't care about how many murders a city had due to a drug taking over. fact is Chicago's murder rate has been consistently higher over the course of a century. and as of today is still high. the crack epidemic is over amd so is LA's high murder rate
Chicago didn't have a high murder rate because of some drug. look up last year in LA there were only 243? that's it? LA hasn't hit 300 in a decade. the cities aren't the same Chicago dates back to the 1800's.

Drug trade fueled homicides in a lot of places. That's why homicide peaked in the US in the early 90s. Crack's decline along with demographic changes in LA hoods and aggressive policing caused LA's crime to tank.

Nobody cares about the 1800s Lol. If you want to go there, LA was founded on violence. In Los Angeles from 1850-1865, the average annual murder rate was 198 per 100k.

Technically, it was third world at the time, especially the West coast. Most of the violence was undocumented and there was a lack of security, barely any roads, based on mining. Industrial Revolution is what really caused the modern distinction of a developing and developed nation, then underdeveloped.

Also, LA's population was only 1k-5k during 1850-1865. So that's that.

Austin is now at 25 after 6 people were shot or stabbed last night throughout the city. 3 others are critical with life-threatening injuries.
