If your speaking of Chicago, No. This have been done multiple times since the 60s. It just added to the prison control they have now.

I don't know if any specific place is the "worst" for that. In Chicago it's actually fairly skewed to certain groups.

For instance only 0.7% of murder victims are 12 years old or younger.

6.7% of murder victims are between the ages of 13-18. 92.6% were adults.

81% of homicide victims were male.

66% of murder victims were black males. (around 400,000 population)

13% of homicide vicitims were hispanic (around 800,000 population)

4% of homicide victims were white or asian (around 1,100,000 population)

Jackson, MS still at 56. Out of the 56, 20 was in North Jackson. That's about the same as Northeast DC.

Admittedly I based this on my perception rather than hard stats. But for what it's worth, 8 out of the last 25 "mass shootings" (defined as 4+ people shot in a single incident), at the time of me writing this, have been in Chicago. Which seems to lend some degree of validity to my perception of Chicago gunmen being particularly careless about who they kill or injure.

Chicago's had 8 in the last two and a half weeks but there were 12 in the previous six months. So 20 for the year.

Baltimore has 10 so half the amount of mass shootings Chicago has this year with a population 23% the size of Chicago.

This is why I am saying that Chicago is not a dangerous city... Just look at the victimhood, 1/6th of the population has 66% of the homicides victims and I am sure that pretty much all of those victims were involved in crime. So if you are not "in the game" you are pretty safe... Safe but rude and non welcoming because my small stop to Chicago airport made me feel like Chicagoan are just rude, mean and non welcoming

What better way to judge an entire city of 2.7 million people than by the small amount of workers at an airport. I know that's the best way to judge a city with a few million inhabitants.

I'm not offended. I'm just pointing out that generalizing a group of people on only a few in the group is highly ignorant and naive. It doesn't matter what group whether it's race, religion, geography, etc... it's a ridiculous idea to express.
