Do I lament the fact that tens of thousands of Black households have chosen to move to the Central Valley? Absolutely, but who are we to demand that someone cant sell their 2bd bungalow in East Oakland for $600,000 and buy a new, huge house in a new development 60 miles away?

And in case you havent noticed, Blacks are leaving the West and North-yet we get singled out?

Ive looked at the data, there are nearly 1 million Blacks(alone o multiracial) in the NorCal megalopolis. Yes many have left the area, but the vast majority simply moved inland.

Otherwise, I stand by my statement.
Hyperbolic nonsense? You tell me why blacks have been leaving the Bay Area in droves. And I’d like to see evidence that they are all moving to the Central Valley.

As far as the $59,000 income for blacks in the Bay Area, that doesn’t mean much at all. I actually think that’s below the poverty level there.

37% percent of the homeless population in San Francisco is black despite blacks only being 5% (and dropping) of the overall population. How does that reflect how well the Bay Area supports minorities?

LA was never heavily Black. It is seemed that way because of the hyper-media presence.

Nope, you opined that because of a homelessness statistic, therefore my statement is incorrect, and your wrong.

In fact, I said in that post that nowhere is perfect and every city has their issues, but that said, I can think of no other area where minorities and immigrants are more prominent and empowered to succeed, than the Bay Area-and I stand by that.

It's stunning that the Bay Area might actually surpass NY in this regard in the near future.

In New York, it's mostly because of Asians (just like everywhere else in the country)
