St. Louis is at 18 right now based off its homicide tracker. Man was found behind a dumpster on the 15th with knife wounds.

It's only "slowed" because of murders happening only a few blocks outside its official city (hence not being counted). Hell there has been 3 murders this week that where within rock throwing distance of being added to official city rather than county tally.

Still... it's doing way better than last rear, so any progress is better than none.

Boston is a very safe city, only Dorchester & Mattapan are rough, other part of the city sees no trouble... People on Malden leave their doors unlocked...

Malden isn’t in Boston.

Chinatown Mission Hill Roxbury Hyde Park and sometimes Roslindale and the South End are also fairly dangerous.

Well Roxbury/Mission Hill is flat out dangerous.

I believe Montreal (4 million+) is at 3.

1 on the island (city proper PD) and 2 in the outer suburbs.

Your Estimating the Population of Canada's CMA's/ Metropolitan Area's Incorrectly, remember this is an American Website/ Forum ur on, (City-Data), in order to Evoke any sort of Response from Americans u have to appeal to the only thing they value in general. (Which is Money & Power), for that reason u have to make Canadian Cities look as big as it's humanly possible for u to do so, (In order to properly respect just how safe they truly are).
Toronto's Metro for example might be about 6.6 Million today, but the GTA (Which is the Slightly Broader term), has about 7.2 Million People now/ today, (As of 2020). 7.1 Million (as of recent Numbers that where released from the Results of Statistics Canada's Reports for July 1st 2019).
The reason u have to do this is because their are also 0 Murders in places like Oshawa & Burlington, (Which are Contiguous with the Toronto CMA & are already pretty much right next door to Toronto's Suburbs already), For example Burlington is basically Minutes away from Oakville & Oshawa is Minutes away from Pickering/ Ajax.
Your Vancouver Number's are fine too, but don't forget that the Lower Mainland is pretty Contiguous with Metro Vancouver as well, (& it's total Population is more like 3 Million now), As places in the Fraser Valley like Abbotsford, Mission, & Chilliwack are also still sitting @ 0 right now, (So that's 9 over a Population of 3 Million instead of 2.7 Million).
In the case of Calgary I don't have to tell u that the Population is much closer to 1.6 Million, because of places like Okotoks, (Which Recently passed 30,000 Residents as of July 1st, 2019), & the 80k so Additional People living in the Foothills that are not yet Included in the CMA Number's, (But are still very much Contiguous), infact if anything the Calgary Region District/ Economic Region Population is likely much closer to 1.65 Million by now, Because the CMA was about: 1,514,723 (As of July 1st 2019), Growing @ about 30k a year, & if u factor in that it's been 8 Months since then + the 80k in the Foothills & 30k in Okotoks then it's closer to 1.65 Million IMO.

Ditto for Edmonton, it's Regional District/ Population is likely Closer to 1.5 Million now, & so Is Ottawa, So adjusted for any Additional Population Growth, (Because like why wouldn't their be right?) The Rates become even far LOWER.

Everything else u have is fine, Niagara Region should be closer to 450k now, (Once Rounding),
434,927 (As of July 1st 2019 According to Statistics Canada), growing about: 6k a year,
& the Windsor CMA might not b in the 400k Range, (Until the 2021 Canada Census), but it's adding the 53k People that Leamington Had, (As of the July 1st Results of the Statistics Canada Numbers for 2019), so is likely closer to 400,000 if u include those Numbers 1 year earlier/ b4 Statistics Canada is to make them 1 Analagous/ Contiguous Metropolitan Area.

I know Malden is not Boston but it could very well be, you can literally walk to Boston in less than 30 mn without any empty space...

I know there are other trouble spots in Boston but nothing compared to Dorchester and Mattapan... And I also know Roxbury, the south in general.

Even Brockton (southern suburb) is fairly ok if you compare to other southern cities... I used to hear shots there and there when I was there but never actually saw anything... And most of those shots were in fact firecrackers to mess with the shot spotter. But there were at one point several shootings (one ducking donut in Main st got robbed at gun point (the cashier quit her job after that), a convenient store robbed with a shotgun, Someone in Plesent street got a straight bullet logged in his apartment ceiling, some shot near Massssoit... Oh and the Harbor one bank robbery

When I think about it, how can you say some place being ok then mention all that crime that happened in a matter of months... Just that the 10 months I was there, only 1 person got killed and it was during a fist fight
