From that list I saw a 10k difference, but besides the point, New York has had over 220,000. We all know it's the epicenter, but you would expect the largest state in the country to have more than 29,000 tests.
Very preliminary data shows that the extra week of lock down may have flattened the curve of the virus' growth in the Bay Area and California---hopefully that bears out to be true.

It's only the fourth most populous state, actually. I'm sure you meant to say "the state with the largest city in the country."

I was referring to California with 29k tests, according to that link, being the most populous state. Maryland had 19k with 1/6th the population. New York has had over 220k tests so far.
